Bird Banding Demonstration

Join bird bander Rodney Olsen and his Dead Creek Bird Observatory crew as they demonstrates mist-netting techniques, bird identification, and banding operations with a chance to see live birds up close.

Vermont’s White-tailed Deer

Fish & Wildlife Department’s deer biologist, Adam Murkowski, will discuss deer management, populations, and ecology.

Clayplain Forest Walk and Plant Identification

Enjoy a walk with Otter Creek Audubon’s Barb Otsuka through a typical forest of the Champlain Valley to learn about the plants, animals, and special conditions the clayplain forest type supports. Less than 5% of the original clayplain forest remains.
