Ice Fishing with Hartford Parks & Recreation

When: Saturday, February 1, 8:30am-12:00pm
Where: Deweys Pond, Quechee, VT

Held in conjunction with Harford Parks & Recreation Dept's Annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby, this hands-on clinic is perfect for families looking to participate on derby day but need to learn the basics first! All equipment will be provided.

Join us at Mallets Bay Access Area to learn the basics of ice fishing! Topics covered will include safety, equipment, regulations and more! All equipment will be provided. Participants should dress for the weather and bring plenty of hot chocolate.

Join us at Blush Hill on Waterbury Reservoir for an evening of learning about smelting! Topics covered will include safety, equipment, regulations and more! All equipment will be provided. Participants should dress for the weather, and bring a headlamp and chair or bucket to sit on.

Introduction to Fly Tying: Castleton VT

Learn the basics of fly tying in this fun hands on course! Course topics will include terminology, tools and basic fly patterns. This course is part of partnership between the Green Mountain Fly Tyers and Vermont Fish & Wildlife. The course runs from 6:30-8:30pm, Monday evenings, 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, & 3/16. There is a $20 materials fee, participants are expected to attend all 4 evenings.
