Moose and Deer Management Public Meetings

The department will hold three in-person public hearings on the proposed 2024 moose hunting season and current health status of Vermont’s deer herd in March. The hearings will begin at 6:30 pm at these locations:

Two public hearings on the status of migratory game bird populations and proposed 2024 migratory game bird hunting seasons for the interior zone of Vermont and Lake Champlain zone in New York and Vermont will be held from 6:30pm-9:00pm:

Virtual Public Hearing on Proposed Regulations for Trapping and Hunting Coyotes

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department and the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Board are accepting public comment and is holding a virtual public hearing on new proposed regulations for trapping and for hunting coyotes with the aid of dogs.
