Kids Fishing Event - Bakersfiled

This event is part of the department’s Children’s Fishing Program, designed to give kids the opportunity for a fun and successful fishing experience. The event is sponsored by a local organization and the department provides 8 to 10” stocked trout for the kids to test out their angling skills.

Introduction to Fly Fishing

Learn the basics of fly fishing in a fun hands on environment on Saturday July 3rd from 9am-1pm at the Northwood's Stewardship Center.

Chief Lets Go Fishing Instructor Paul Noel will be covering topics such as tackle, entomology, casting, flies, ecology and so much more!

The day will conclude with fly fishing on a pond.

Introduction to Fishing- Wrightsville Reservoir, Montpelier

Basic introduction to Fishing Course will cover ecology, knot tying, fish identification, regulations, equipment and much more. Participants will leave the program with the skills they need to feel confident fishing on their own. All equipment will be provided.  

Space is limited to 25 people. Pre-registration is required.

Introduction to Fishing- Heineberg Bridge Access Area, Colchester

Basic introduction to Fishing Course will cover ecology, knot tying, fish identification, regulations, equipment and much more. Participants will leave the program with the skills they need to feel confident fishing on their own. All equipment will be provided.
