Join biologists from Vermont Fish & Wildlife and the Vermont Land Trust to learn about this incredible series of wetlands and the recent conservation efforts at Kesick Swamp Wildlife Management Area. The group will explore the newly improved pedestrian access and learn about the work being done to enhance wildlife connectivity and protect significant wetlands. You’ll learn about the mix of private and public conservation in this diverse area while exploring a culturally rich area with some of the local people who helped protect it. The group will hike down to the beaver ponds where people might catch a glance at heron on the active heron rookery on the lands, walking through meadows and hardwood stands to get there. Conservationists have also caught sight of a bear on the property during recent visits!
