Invasive Plant Management Workshop

Date: Wednesday, June 21
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: Taconic Mountain Ramble State Park, 321 St. John Rd Hubbardton, VT | map

Habitat is key! Good habitat is really key! Invasive plants are not a good food source for our wildlife species and often fool our native insects. It is time to do something!

VT Coverts is Teaming with Vermont Fish & Wildlife Biologist Travis Hart to share about how to tackle invasive plants on your property. Learn how to identify some of the most common invasive plants along with how to plan an effective control strategy. Learn which ones to treat in spring/summer and which to target in the fall. Travis will demonstrate and give you a chance to try hand tools. You will learn about the options for applying herbicide.

This is a hands-on program. Bring work gloves and come dressed to get dirty. Remember it is tick season so dress accordingly. We will meet at the first parking area on the access road.
