Public hearings on the status of waterfowl populations and proposed waterfowl hunting seasons for the State of Vermont and Lake Champlain zone in New York will be held Tuesday, March 12, in Whitehall, New York and March 14 in Winooski, Vermont.
Vermont Fish & Wildlife is offering several educational seminars this winter and spring, covering topics from fishing to photography to bird-watching at the Kehoe Conservation Camp in Castleton, Vermont.
After a lengthy review of Vermont’s deer hunting laws, the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department presented a series of proposed changes designed to increase hunter satisfaction and improve management of Vermont’s deer herd to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Board on February 27.
Vermont wildlife photographer Brian Machanic will present ‘The Art in Birding’ at the Kehoe Education Center in Castleton, Vermont on Sunday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. The presentation will be followed by a one-hour bird walk at the new Bonsawino Wildlife Management Area adjacent to the education center.
