Vermont Fish & Wildlife Seeks Volunteers for Dead Creek Visitor Center

ADDISON, Vt. –The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is seeking interested volunteers to serve as department ambassadors and greet visitors at the Dead Creek Visitor Center in Addison, Vermont. The department will be hosting a new volunteer training workshop on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dead Creek Conference Room in Addison.

This is Prime Time for Ice Fishing

Vermont’s spring snow goose hunt will be held from March 11 through April 26. A 2019 Spring Snow Goose Harvest Permit is required and is available at no charge on the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department’s website.

Public Meetings on Chronic Wasting Disease

Waterfowl Blinds Must Be Removed

Waterfowl hunters who did not remove their hunting blinds from the waters of the state earlier must do so before February 15 on Lake Champlain or May 15 on inland waters according to a reminder from the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department.

Vermont’s Free Ice Fishing Day is January 26

The day is geared toward giving new ice anglers an opportunity to try ice fishing before purchasing equipment, but any angler may ice fish on any waterbody open to ice fishing statewide without a fishing license.
