It's More Than a Fishing Rod- Seminar

Taught by Let’s Go Fishing Instructor Sam Shultis this seminar offers an in depth look at fishing rods & their applications. Throughout the course we will discuss rod selection, fighting technique, line selection and much more. The course will leave you with the knowledge you need to not only select rods but also how to use them appropriately.

The department will hold three in-person public hearings on the proposed 2023 moose hunting season and current health status of Vermont’s deer herd in March. 

The three in-person hearings will begin at 6:30 p.m. at these locations:

Hunter Education New Instructor Training

Do you want to teach Vermonters to be safe, ethical, and legal while hunting? Do you have a passion for hunting and want to share that passion with others? Then teach with us! 

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is hosting an instructor training course on Saturday, March 25th at South Burlington City Hall. All applicants must complete their instructor paperwork and online homework before attending the course. Click here to find out more.
