Fishing Clinic

This event is part of the department’s Children’s Fishing Program, designed to give kids the opportunity for a fun and successful fishing experience. The event is sponsored by a local organization and the department provides 8 to 10” stocked trout for the kids to test out their angling skills.

Learn the basics of fly fishing in a fun hands-on environment. Topics will include casting, entomology, regulations, and more. Class time will be split between land and water. All equipment will be provided. Space is limited.

This course is part of partnership between the Mad Dog Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Vermont Fish & Wildlife. All the tools and materials will be supplied for the course, but attendees can bring their own tools. There is a $30 fee for materials payable to Mad Dog Trout Unlimited on the first night of the course.
