Introduction to Fly Tying

Learn the basics of fly tying in this fun, hands-on course! Course topics will include terminology, tools and basic fly patterns. This course is part of partnership between the Mad Dog Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Vermont Fish & Wildlife.

Date: Tuesday Evenings, February 19, March 5, 12, and 19. Participants must attend all 4 nights.

This FREE Clinic, sponsored by the Hartford Parks & Rec Department, will run in conjunction with their Youth Ice Fishing Derby. The clinic is open to people of all ages, making this a great way for families to learn how to fish together.

Location: Waterbury Reservoir, Waterbury, VT

Time: 5:00 pm

Program participants will learn about fishing techniques  and regulations, fish identification, ice safety and more! Equipment will be provided, but participants should dress for the weather as the program will take place outside.
