Where to Go
Lake Shaftsbury State Park offers shoreline fishing, camping, swimming, and a playground with the purchase of an entrance fee. You can also rent a boat there.
Fish You'll Find
The lake has largemouth bass, yellow perch, bluegills, pumpkinseed sunfish, and rock bass. Best fishing for the trout that are stocked here is in the spring.
How Do I Get There?
From Bennington, travel north on VT Route 7A for about 9.5 miles, and turn right onto State Park Rd.
