"Hike Like an Ecologist" with the Fletcher Free Library and Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department Ecologist Bob Zaino at the Colchester Bog Natural Area.
The 180-acre Colchester Bog Natural Area is located on a peninsula in Lake Champlain, just a few miles north of Burlington. This trip will involve a moderate off-trail walk on flat ground that may be muddy or wet. Rubber boots or waterproof shoes are recommended. Registration is preferred but not required, please email Barbara Shatara at bshatara@burlingtonvt.gov
Introduction to Fishing: "Hike in" Event
Join Vermont Fish & Wildlife and Green Mountain National Forest staff for a fishing adventure that hikes in approximately 5 miles round trip to reach the pond! This introductory program will cover all the basics of fishing while focusing on how to fish backcountry ponds.
