Pollinator-friendly plantings include Vermont native and naturalized wildflowers, forbs, grasses, shrubs and trees that serve as habitat, forage, and migratory way stations for pollinators.
The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources recommends that pollinator-friendly plantings in Vermont avoid species that are not native to Vermont. This list was created in collaboration with the University of Vermont Gund Institute, Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, and Vermont Audubon, through their in-house expertise.
