- Alburgh Dunes State Park
Extensive sand beach and dune. Swimming too!
- Colchester Bog, UVM Natural Area
Boardwalk. Access from Airport Park
. - Button Bay State Park, Ferrisburgh
Trails through cedar bluff forests.
- Chickering Bog, East Montpelier
Hike through The Nature Conservancy's rich woods to a boardwalk at the fen wetland. Best for orchids in mid-June.
- Eshqua Bog Natural Area, Hartland
The Nature Conservancy and New England Wildflower Society manage this area. Follow the boardwalk for orchids in mid-June.
- Gleason Brook along the Green Mountain Club Long Trail
Park from River Road in Duxbury. Great spring wildflowers
- Kettle Pond and Owls’ Head in Groton State Forest

- Kingsland Bay State Park

Take the hiking trail from the eastern or western parking lot and meet up with a network of trails that crisscross the ridgeline and summit of the mountain
