Ruffed Grouse or Spruce Grouse?

Upland Game Bird PosterRuffed grouse are Vermont’s premier small game…. spruce grouse are a state endangered species. Killing or wounding a spruce grouse is a violation of Vermont Endangered Species Act and subject to a $2,000 fine.

Should I be concerned?
